Velma Ree Wingo Harden, 94, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at her residence.

She was born July 12, 1918, in Rienzi, Miss., and had been an employee of Golden Manufacturing. She was a member of Red Bay Free Holiness Church.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Dean Bowling and Bro. James Smith officiating. Burial was in Red Bay Free Holiness Church Cemetery.

Survivors are five children, Dan Harden and wife, Betty, Dora Newell and husband, Jerry, and Geneva Harden, all of Red Bay, Joel Harden and wife, Kimberly, Marietta, Ga., and Sherry Donaldson, Piedmont; one brother, Joe Wingo; one sister, Jewell Rogers; 18 grandchildren, Bill Harris, Genell Hall, Terry Harden, Barbara Upton, Johnny Stanphill, Danny Harden, Tony Harden, Jeff Harden, Ron Harden, Rhonda Williams, Amanda Harden, Stephen Funderburk, Pamela Williams, Jubal Donaldson, Heath Donaldson, Shane Donaldson, Dewayne Donaldson and Kim Higgins; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Calvin Harden; her parents, James Walter Wingo and Mollie Raines Wingo, two daughters, Bonnie Ree Harden and Annette Harden, a son, William Troy Lee Harden, a granddaughter, Shelia Catherine Harden Carr and several brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers were Terry Harden, Johnny Stanphill, Jeff Harden, Ron Harden, Stephen Funderburk, Jubal Donaldson, Bill Harris and Adam Harden. Honorary pallbearers were  Harold Sparks, Heath Donaldson, Geral Rogers and Ricky Lindley.
