Venus Earon Hester, 88, Russellville, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at her residence with her family around her.

Mrs. Hester was a member of Centerview Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Frankfort Homemakers.

Funeral services were Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Cecil Cox officiating. The interment was at Franklin Memory Gardens.

She is survived by her children, Dale Rickard and husband, Bob, Pam Daniel and husband, Roger, Andy Hester and wife, Sherry; grandchildren, Tara Oliver and husband, Shannon, Glen Rickard, Mandy Swinney and husband, Anthony, Michael Hester, Juliana Hester; great-grandchildren, Bailey Oliver, Riley Rickard, Raegan Rickard; brothers, Thomas Taylor and wife, Guyuna, Faris Taylor and wife, Mildred; sister, Alta Mae Grissom; brother-in-law, Fred Mitchell; special friend, Mattie Fuller; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Hester; son, Anthony Hester; parents, Riley and Dessie Taylor; and sister, Helen Mitchell.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama, Jennifer, Kathy, Michelle, and our caregivers, Sandra, Lonnette, Chasity, Rhonda and Shirley for the love and care shown to our mother and grandmother.
