Martha M. Moody

 

Martha M. Moody, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi, to Thomas Cooley Collier and Eula Mae Culpepper Collier. She was a homemaker and faithfully attended Oak Grove Church of God.

Services were held Jan. 4 at 1 p.m. at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay, with Bro. Rick Bradley and Bro. Todd Kemp officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are: seven children – Robert Moody and wife Etta Rae of Martinez, Ga., Ralph Moody and wife Elizabeth of New Berlin, Wis., Marilyn Averkamp  and husband Lonnie, Carol Moody, Richard Moody, Melissa Clements and husband John and Mary Rockwell and husband Chris, all of Golden, Miss.; grandchildren – Kimberly Moody, John Averkamp, Joseph Averkamp, James Boyer,  Bradley Moody and wife Shellie, Laura Moody, Leah Moody, Lindsey Moody, Kara Moody, Chad Moody, Allen Clements, J. Morgan Clements, Lacey Clements, Kellie Clements, Ricky Pineda, Seth Rockwell, Jordan Pineda and Tyler Rockwell; one great-granddaughter – Katie Moody; five brothers and sisters – Ray Collier and wife Grace, Eddie Collier and wife Carolyn, Mary Jo McCarty and husband Edward, Peggy Antwine and husband Ray and Tommy Collier and wife B.J.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Moody, her parents and a granddaughter, Katie Anne Clements.

Pallbearers were John Averkamp, John Clements, Allen Clements, J. Morgan Clements, Chris Rockwell and Jordan Pineda.

Visitation was Jan. 3, 6-9 p.m., at Cornerstone Church of God, Red Bay.
