John Daniel Seal

John Daniel Seal, 78, Russellville, passed away Feb. 12, 2016.

He was member of Southside Baptist Church. He was retired from Reynolds Metals

Company after 32 years of service. He served in the Russellville National Guard Unit for six years. He was a journeyman carpenter, working for V. L. Glenn Builders for six years and was self-employed as a carpenter. John also worked at Keeton’s Grocery many years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, June Keeton Seal and daughter, Susan James and husband, Dale, granddaughter, Hannah Harold and husband, Josh; sister, Judy Raper; brother, Jerry Seal and wife, Gwen; special sisters-in-law, Judy Grissom and Jane McManus; special brother-in-law, Joe Keeton and wife, Donna.

He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Ellen Seal; brothers, Tommy and Luther Seal; children, infant son, Mark Seal; daughter, Sharon Bryant and son-in-law, Joey Bryant.

Funeral service was held Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016, at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Brother Daniel Welborn, Brother James McCullar and Brother Mark McCullar officiating. Visitation was prior to the service until service time. Burial will follow on Monday, 10 a.m. in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be David Grissom, Marvin Harris, Daniel Keeton (John’s namesake), Joe Keeton, Derek McManus, Aubry Harris and Charles James.

Honorary bearers will be Joe Cooper, Ray Hargett, Hazel James, Delano Lawrence, Wayne Melton, Ken Pinkard, Morris Woodruff, John Ed Chambers, W. J. Hornsby, Jack Landers, Audrey Kimbrough, Johnny Hill, Lynn Hill and Landon Hill.
