Jerry Wayne Massey

Jerry Wayne Massey, 73, passed away May 29 at Russellville Hospital. He was born in Vina, Al. and had worked at Tiffin Motor Homes, Red Bay, Al. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He was a member of Vina First Baptist Church, Vina, Al.

Services were June 2 at 11 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Al. with Bro. Ray Kirk and Bro. Steve Ledbetter officiating. Burial was in Berry Cemetery, Red Bay, Al.

Survivors are his wife – Sylvia Massey; children – James Massey, Susan Massey,Tim Massey, Garrett Fredericks and wife Annette, Chris Watts and wife Niki and Tracy Hamm and husband Daryl; one sister – Wanda Simsalek and husband Ed; one brother – Larry Massey and wife Jo; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noble and Madrew Massey.

The military served as pallbearers.

Visitation was June 1, 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Al.
