Lewis Wade Umfress

Lewis Wade Umfress, 66, passed away June 30 at his residence. He was born in Vina and was a truck driver for 21 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

There will be no funeral services. Visitation will be July 2, 5-9 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay. Burial will be in Pilot Hill Cemetery, Vina.

Survivors are his wife, Lisa Holley Umfress, Vina; children, Gynger Umfress, Sabrina Cromeans and husband Bo and Jeffery Smith and wife Joni, all of Red Bay; two brothers, Earl Umfress and wife Belynn, Vina, and Jerry Umfress and wife Sue, Red Bay; and 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rosetta Baggett Umfress; a sister, Olene Bates; and two brothers, L.D. Umfress and Bob Umfress.
