In the September grand jury in Franklin County, one Phil Campbell man and one Russellville man were indicted on charges of sexual abuse of a child younger than 12.

The grand jury found sufficient evidence to indict Marty Dwayne Beasley, 38, 3052 Broad St., Phil Campbell, of sexual abuse of a child less than 12 years old following an incident that occurred with the 4-year-old daughter of a family acquaintance.

According to courthouse sources, the 4-year-old was in a bedroom with the door closed with Beasley when the girl’s mother came to pick her up. When her daughter came out of the bedroom, she had some suckers, which struck the mother as odd.

The 4-year-old revealed to her mother that the sexual touching had taken place, and Beasley was arrested by the Phil Campbell Police Department following DHR and PC investigation, including a forensic interview.

Juan Francisco Martin, 54, 513 East Madison St., Russellville was also charged with sex abuse of a child less than 12.
