Frances Bostick Jackson

Frances Bostick Jackson, 96, passed away Jan. 30 at Courtyards Community Living Center in Fulton, Miss. She was born March 25, 1920, in Red Bay. She was a homemaker who was active in church and enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting. She especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Red Bay.

Services were held Feb. 3 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Neville Vanderburg and Chaplain Josh Westmoreland officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Gloria Whitehead and husband Donnie of Albuquerque, N.M.; one son, Gerald Jackson and wife Rosemary of Red Bay; four grandchildren, Meg Deaton and husband Eddie, Russ Jackson and wife Sonya, Matt Jackson and Rhett Jackson and wife Hannah, all of Red Bay; three great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde A. Jackson; an infant daughter, Brenda Jackson; her parents, Vester and Virgie Bostick; two sisters, Eddie Cooper and Martha Mason; and two brothers, George Tiffin Bostick and Wesley Bostick.

Pallbearers were Russ Jackson, Matt Jackson, Rhett Jackson, Kyser Jackson, Coby Jackson and Joe Credille.

Visitation was Feb. 3 from noon to 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund at First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 126, Red Bay, AL 35582.
