Homefolks U.S.A.
Hi folks,
The month of June holds a lot of memories for a lot of people.
National Flag Day is celebrated June 14. It all started in 1916 when President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day. National Flag Day was established by an act of Congress.
Last week at Bolton Furniture we made sure the American Flag was on display in front of our store, along with a banner of flags that covered the front of our building. Several people made positive comments about how good it looked to see the flags on display.
We always appreciate positive comments about things we do and the stories we share each week in Homefolks U.S.A.
Another important day that we celebrate each June is Father’s Day. I truly hope that all fathers had a wonderful day. It’s that time of year when you can honor your father, and we all truly appreciate our children for making this a special day.
My daughter Jennifer and her husband always make Father’s Day a special one, and this year was no exception. Her visit and gifts were truly appreciated, along with the meal that we enjoyed so very much.
I feel that I am truly blessed.
It’s always good to have old friends that we have not seen in a while make contact with us. Last week was great, as I had the opportunity to chat with some friends that I had not seen in several years.
The summer season is here, and we all are looking forward to this being one of the best summers ever. Mr. Richard Gandy told me Sunday that his watermelon crop is beginning to show some progress, and several local farms are beginning to harvest vegetables from their garden. Watch for the farmers market to begin drawing a lot of folks in the weeks to come.
I hope we all strive to make 2018 a great year. P
lease pay us a visit soon, as many new collectibles and furniture are being displayed for sale at Bolton Furniture. We look forward every day for visits from our many customers and friends.
Don’t wait until you need furniture – just come by and visit with us. We count every one as part of our family.
Til next time,
Your friend,
Bobby
Thought for the Day
Dear daughter: If I could give you one thing in life, it would be the ability to see yourself through my eyes – only then would you realize how special you are to me.
