Country Cottage hosts pancake breakfast
Aug. 21 Country Cottage in Russellville will have a free Community Pancake Breakfast in conjunction with National Senior Citizens Day.
According to manager Regina Lawler, cook Kim Boyles will be making the pancakes and sausage. There will also be juice and coffee.
Although Country Cottage has hosted pancake breakfasts for Senior Citizens Day in years past, “this is the first time it’s been open to the community,” Lawler said.
In the past when Country Cottage has held a pancake day, senior centers from Red Bay and Russellville have attended.
“We always have a good number show up. They really enjoy it,” Lawler said.
The event is free, but Lawler has requested that everyone RSVP at 256-277-4068 if they would like to attend so Country Cottage knows how much food to prepare.
