Celebrating a year on Instagram

It’s been a little more than a year since we branched out our social media presence to include Instagram among our platforms. We have enjoyed interacting with you, the community, through this new medium, and we hope that you have enjoyed it as well!

We have almost 1,000 followers now, so thank you to everyone who has followed us, liked our photos and engaged with us socially. We are always looking for ways to connect to our readers and foster good community relationships, and this has been one exciting new way for us to do that.

Some of our most popular posts have involved local businesses like Doe’s Eat Place, homecoming results and other local achievements by sports teams and inspiring individuals. It is our goal to keep the public consistently updated on what is going on in Franklin County, and it is always exciting when we receive positive responses to our posts. So, keep the likes and comments coming. We want to know what you think.

Instagram has allowed us to reach a new audience in a quick, snapshot way that is becoming more and more popular as technology advances. It also gives us access to an audience that might not use Facebook or Twitter.

We encourage everyone to check out our Instagram, @franklincountytimesal. While you’re at it, check out our Facebook and Twitter pages as well for the latest news in Franklin County.
