First Metro raises donations for FAME Girls Ranch

While the majority of people are used to the everyday luxury of buying basic hygiene items, some people do not have that luxury. First Metro Bank in Russellville is doing its part to help by taking donations for FAME Girls Ranch.

First Metro Bank is accepting donations for FAME Girls Ranch at its Russellville location. The bank will be accepting donations until the end of February.

“First Metro Bank truly values the community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to help out any way we can,” said customer service representative and lending assistant Kassidy Willis.

Willis said First Metro is always looking for opportunities to help in the community, so the bank was more than happy to help when representatives found out FAME Girls Ranch had a need.

FAME Girls Ranch is one of four Alabama Sheriffs Boys’ and Girls’ Ranches, located between Russellville and Littleville.

Items being collected include socks, face wash, Dial body wash, felted hangers, hair conditioner, ethnic hair products, shaving cream, Dial or Secret deodorant, leave-in conditioner, mousse, hairspray and lotion.

The bank is also collecting various household items, such as laundry detergent, fabric softener sheets, cleaning supplies, pots and pans, cooking utensils, silverware, art supplies, duffle-sized overnight bags and over-the-counter medicines.
