Time’s running out in coloring contest

We offer something for children each week of the year with our A to Z Kids News page – full of facts and puzzles for the littlest readers – but for Christmas this year we added a little something extra to the mix with a special coloring contest.

We’ve shared a coloring page for young artists the past few weeks, and there are just a couple days left for your children or grandchildren to get in on the fun.

A tree, a reindeer, Santa and a holiday home have been the images on offer these four weeks, and children up to 12 years are encouraged to color each one for a chance at a cool prize, donated by Walmart and McDonald’s. There’s no purchase necessary to enter, and you can find all the other rules on the contest page.

We know from experience that Franklin County kids love a good contest, and this seemed like the perfect season to host one of our own. Cozying up under the twinkle lights, maybe with a cup of cocoa, to unleash a little artistic genius – well, what could be more Christmasy?

Deadline for contest entries is Dec. 11, so it’s now or never!

A whole slate of sponsors have helped us make this possible for the community this year. We hope you will show them your thanks by patronizing their businesses this season.
