Registration opens for 4-H camp
Registration is now open for students ages 9-14 who want to attend Alabama 4-H Camp in Columbiana this summer, June 9-11.
“The students will be able to try new things and have new experiences,” said 4-H Foundation Regional Extension Agent Vanessa Roberts. “They will get to make new friends. They will also get to see a live animal program.”
Roberts said students will have the opportunity to try canoeing, paddle boarding, the rock climbing wall, team activities, games, swimming and more.
Camp cost is $150 for two nights and three days at the 4-H Center. That cost includes meals and snacks during camp and a camp T-shirt. Payment plans are also offered, three payments of $50.
Roberts said up to 170 campers will be in attendance, from across the state. Students do not have to currently be involved in 4-H to attend the camp.
CDC, ACA, state and Auburn University regulations will be in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The final day to register for camp is March 10, and those who are interested in participating are encouraged to register as soon as possible to reserve their spots.
To register, contact Roberts at 256-309-9576 or vnr0001@aces.edu or contact the Franklin County Extension Office at 256-332-8880.
