The Phil Campbell and Red Bay golf teams advanced to the substate with sectional wins over the weekend.

The Phil Campbell High School Bobcat golfers finished third in their section behind Winfield and Lauderdale County to advance to the Class 3A substate.

The Bobcats’ top four scorers finished with a total score of 376: Joshua Morgan at 90, Trey Benford at 91, Jonathan Morgan at 92 and Luke Garrison at 103.

Phil Campbell will travel to Gadsden to compete at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course Monday.

RED BAY

The Red Bay High School golf team finished second in Class 1A-2A behind Holy Spirit to advance to substate.

The Tiger golfers finished the day with a score of 355.  The top four golfers, all ninth-graders, were Brady Bolton with a score of 83, Cody Carnes at 83, Buck McRight at 84 and Lawson Glover at 105.

Red Bay will travel to Cullman to compete at the Cross Creek Golf Course Tuesday.
