Red Bay revenue officer retires
Mayor Charlene Fancher described it as a bittersweet day for the City of Red Bay as the community hosted a retirement celebration for revenue officer Tracie Clark.
Clark has been working as revenue officer since 2001 and has been working for the city in some capacity for more than 30 years.
“So many words went through my head today of how to describe Tracie and her characteristics,” Fancher said. “The one word that kept coming to my mind is exceptional. You are exceptional at your job, and you have gone above and beyond for the City of Red Bay.”
Clark said she will be enjoying retirement with many trips to the beach and lots of time spoiling her first grandchild, whose arrival is expected soon.
“Tracie is such a planner, and she could not have planned her retirement any more perfectly so she gets to spend time with her first grandbaby,” Fancher said.
Clark began her employment for the city in 1985 working for the gas department.
“I would personally like to thank the mayor and council, for all present and past administrations, for allowing me to be a part of the City of Red Bay,” Clark said.
