Belgreen boys, girls get holiday wins

BOYS

Collin Bonner and Adrian Reeves led the Belgreen Bulldogs to a 64-46 win over the Central Wildcats in basketball action Dec. 27.

Bonner scored 24 points, and Reeves scored 20 points, to lead the way for the Bulldogs.

Bonner scored 11 points in the first quarter to help Belgreen to an early 19-9 lead, and the Bulldogs held on to a 27-17 lead at halftime.

Bonner scored eight more in the third quarter to help the Bulldogs extend their lead to 46-30.

Will Bonner followed Collin and Reeves with 14 points. Cole King added three points, Austin James two points and Canaan Stough one point.

GIRLS

Dacota Green scored 25 points to lead the Belgreen Lady Bulldogs to a 57-38 win over the Carbon Hill Bulldogs Dec. 21.

Green made three three-pointers and scored 11 points in the second quarter alone.

Belgreen jumped out to a 10-5 first quarter lead and extended that lead to 26-17 by halftime.

Noelle Willingham scored six points in the third quarter and helped the Bulldogs maintain a 10-point advantage going into the final period.

Green and Willingham scored six points each in the fourth quarter to help Belgreen put the game away.

Willingham scored 18 points in the game. She was followed by B.B. Scott with eight points, MaKenna Fisher with six points, Carson Hovater with two points, Alayana Tate with two points and Lilliana Willingham with one point.

In other games, Belgreen lost to Curry 53-40 and Dora 54-37.
