Red Bay FFA hosts car, tractor show

The Red Bay FFA hosted its first car and tractor show in downtown Red Bay Saturday, with plans to make the event an annual occurrence.

“I’ve had the idea of doing a show like this for a few years,” explained Red Bay High School student Dalton Faulkner, “and it’s exciting we finally had the chance to do it.

“The weather was wonderful, and we had a good turnout. There were around nine vehicles in the show.”

Faulkner said about 18 door prizes were given out, as well as trophies for several classes in the show.

“Proceeds on the 50/50 tickets will go to Gracie Davis and her family. In addition, when we gave out the money on the 50/50, it got donated back to us to be included with the funds raised for Gracie. We ended up raising $162.”

Show attendees were treated to live music and cornhole.
