Pearl Annette Guinn Wingo

Pearl Annette Guinn Wingo went to her heavenly home Sept. 12, in Flowood, Miss. She was 73 years old. The family received friends for visitation Sept. 15 from 10-11 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Miss. A funeral service followed directly after, with a graveside service at Dempsey Cemetery in Five Points Sept. 16 at 10 a.m.

Mrs. Annette was born on April 3, 1950, to Arthur Nim and Pearl Letha Coats Guinn in Red Bay. She was raised in Alabama in the Five Points community, where she was an active member of James Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She loved her family, especially her grandson, Harrison.

She enjoyed cooking meals for her family. She retired after 25 years as a secretary for Northwest Shoals Community College in Phil Campbell, Ala. She has been in the Florence, Miss., community since 2005, and she most recently attended Mountain Creek Baptist Church. She will truly be missed.

Mrs. Annette is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jackie Wingo of Florence; son, Daryl Wingo (Myra) of Brandon, Miss., and grandson, Harrison Wingo, also of Brandon, Miss.
