Mary Helen Adcox

Mary Helen Adcox, 62, of Russellville passed away Nov. 18 at her residence. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on Sept. 1, 1961.

She enjoyed being at her home. Her daughter called her a homebody. Mary also enjoyed watching her favorite television programs, including the Hallmark and Cooking channels. She worked at Wendy’s in customer service.

Mary loved her daughters, her brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and all of her beautiful grandbabies. They could do no wrong, especially Jemma, the apple of her eye.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Faith Cummings (Jarvis) and Brittany Collins. She is also survived by brothers Calvin “Roy” Adcox, Nicholas Adcox; and sister, Jennifer Crawley; six grandchildren; JC, Journey, Terrell Hughes, Briley, Lee and Bella Collins; one great-grandchild, Jemma Cummings.

She is preceded in death by her parents, TB Adcox and Helen Rea Rhyne Adcox; two sisters, Carol Adcox and Dorothy Buckner (Billy); and one brother, Richard Adcox.

A private graveside service will take place Nov. 24 in Belgreen Cemetery.

Special acknowledgements go out to Hospice of North Alabama for the love and care of their mother.

Akins Funeral Home will be assisting the family.
