Mr. and Mrs. Albert Murphree McMullen announce the engagement of their daughter, Jane Elizabeth of Ridgeland, to Kenneth Ewing Milam Jr. of Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ewing Milam Sr. of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. William Wright Hill of Starkville.
The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Meridian.
Miss McMullen is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Alexander Shields of Meridian and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Buckley Rose of Shelby.
An honors graduate of Meridian High School, the bride-elect received a bachelor's of business administration from the University of Mississippi and a master's degree from the University of Memphis. She also attended the American University in Washington, D.C., and Richmond College in London, England.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member and officer of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She is a member of the Southern Debutante Assembly and the Pushmataha Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Miss McMullen is the marketing director for Office Products Plus in Ridgeland.
Mr. Milam is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Shelby Goza of Rosedale, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Lucius Gartrell Milam of Tupelo.
The bridegroom-elect is attended McCallie Prepatory School and graduated from St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Jackson. He received his bachelor's of business administration from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, he served as president of the Interfraternity Council. He was a member and officer of Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.
Mr. Milam is employed at Trustmark National Bank as assistant vice-president of Trust Business Development.
