David Timothy Thrasher, 48, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, in Red Bay.

He was born July 30, 1964, in Russellville and was a production worker at Gates Rubber Co. for 29 years. David was a member of Free Will Baptist Church and loved his church family and horses.

Services were Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Free Will Baptist Church, Red Bay, with Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Red Bay.

Survivors are his wife, Judy Thrasher, Red Bay; his parents, Omer and Jackie Thrasher, Red Bay; a sister, Deborah Miller, Haleyville; brother, Jason Thrasher, Huntsville; nephews, Chase Miller, Haleyville, Randy Ivy and wife, Marianna, Red Bay, Daryl and Jeremy Ivy, Cherokee; nieces, Katti Miller, Haleyville, and Jennifer and Kristin Ivy, Sheffield; godchildren, Hannah and Morgan McKinney; brothers-in-law, Hugh Ivy and wife, Andora, Red Bay, and Jimmy Ivy and wife, Lori, Sheffield.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Chester and Maxine Ivy and his grandparents, Owen and Levada Mason and Cim and Leora Thrasher.

Pallbearers were Reggie Holland, Radley Holland, Tim McKinney, Scotty Hardin, Mack Bullard and Eric Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Brian Trulove, Benny Johnston, Steve Brown, Tim Hopkins, Luke Roberts, Billy Weatherbee, Wade Hutcheson, Jeff Clark, Steven Ables and Zane Pounds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Free Will  Baptist Church, 1303 Highway 24 East, Red Bay, AL 35582.
