J.C. Franks

J.C. Franks, age 67, Tuscumbia (formerly of Russellville), passed away July 30  at Helen Keller Hospital.

J.C. was a member of New Pleasant Baptist Church, an avid Alabama fan and loved wrestling.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather.

The visitation was from 6-8 p.m. August 01 at Spry Memorial Chapel.  The funeral was at 2 p.m. August 02 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. James McCullar officiating.   Burial was at Roden Cemetery in Town Creek.

He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Franks; mother, Lottie Butler Franks; brothers, Delane Franks, Jimmy “Big Jim” Franks, and Cleveland Franks.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Darlene Henderson and husband, Tim, Janet Burcham  and husband, William; grandchildren, Adam Hogan  and wife, Brandy, Shane Hogan  and wife, Jessica, Amanda Hogan  and husband, Daniel, Levon Burcham and wife, Rebecca, David Wade Burcham and wife, Robin; great-grandchildren, William Bryson, Ranlsey Walker Burcham, Lukas Hogan, Haden Hogan; sister, Jewel Dean Arington; aunt, Helen Strickland; mother of his children, Hazel Franks; and a host of nieces and  nephews.
