L.C. Holland

L.C. Holland, 73, of Russellville, passed into the loving arms of Jesus Aug. 6.

Visitation will be Sunday night, from 5-8 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens. Bro. Andy Gasque will officiate.

He was raised in the old Burleson Community of Vina and graduated from Vina High School in 1961. He served four years in the Army and worked in the mobile home industry ending with Spiral, Ind. He retired from Pinkard Funeral Home.

He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. One of his greatest joys was going to church. He taught Sunday School and directed singing most of his adult life.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Bragwell Holland; daughter, Kristie Smith and husband Stacy; sister, Margie Lancaster of Red Bay; brother, Roy Holland and wife Shirley of Russellville; sister-in-law, Marvelene Holland of Red Bay; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, H.L. and Lucille Holland; sister, Shirley Humphries; brother, Bobby Holland; and niece, Gayla Hobson.

Pallbearers are David Lancaster, Ryan Lancaster, Donnie Holland, Danny Peppers, Kerry Beasley and David Mays.

Special thanks to his niece Sarah Hannah for her care and to the staff of Terrace Manor for their care.
