April Michelle Welch Hamm

April Michelle Welch Hamm, age 39, of Russellville, passed away Oct. 2.

April loved her boys and being “Ya-Ya” to her grandchildren. She was a strong woman who was very family-oriented.

The visitation will noon to 2 p.m. Oct. 8 at Spry Memorial Chapel with the funeral following at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Phil Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zaxton Motes; grandparents, Sara and Harold “Shortie” Bryant; aunt, Teresa Aldridge; and uncles, Andy Bryant and Greg Bryant.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Donnie Hamm; her sons, Stevie Motes and wife Christian, Blake Motes and Stuart Motes; grandchildren, Eastyn Motes and Madelynn Motes; mother, Kay Madden and husband Anthony; fathers, David Welch and Roy Knight; sister, Misty Welch; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the many friends, family, and neighbors for their support and prayers during this tragic time. A special thanks also to the staff of Franklin Homes for their love and care.
