Doris E. “Dot” Kilpatrick

Doris E. Kilpatrick, 82, of Russellville, passed away at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, Jan. 4.

She lived all of her life in Franklin County and attended Mount Home Missionary Baptist Church. Fondly called “Dot” by those who knew her well, she is still remembered by many high school students for her career as a great cook and friend in the Russellville High School cafeteria in the Russellville City School System, having retired after 20 years of service. She also retired from Russellville Hospital Food Service after an equal number of years.

Visitation will be Jan. 6 at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 5-8 p.m. Services will be Jan. 7 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Bro. James McCullar will be officiating. Burial will follow at Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Don Kilpatrick and Michael Chris Kilpatrick; grandchildren, Beverly Gale Kilpatrick Seals, Lena Soto and Justin Sharp; great-grandchildren, Kallysta Tatum Kilpatrick and Talyon Gayle Seals; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Kilpatrick was preceded in death by her parents, E.E. and Stella Rouse Ellis; husband, Troy C. Kilpatrick; and son, Rickey Allen Kilpatrick.
