Emma Jean Berry

Emma Jean Berry, 92, passed away Feb. 5 at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, Tenn. Jean was born March 4, 1924, in Franklin County, the daughter of Wilson and Willie Blackburn Morrow. She retired from Proffitts Department Store, where she worked as a sales associate for many years. She was a longtime member of Robertsville Baptist Church. She enjoyed life and was always willing to experience new things.
Graveside services will be Feb. 9 at 11 a.m. at Halltown Cemetery, Vina, with the Rev. Matthew Fancher officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband of 72 years, John M. Berry; one daughter – Margaret Carol Horton and husband Edward Horton of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters – Margie Hollis of San Francisco, Calif., and Anita Jo Davis of Sackett Harbor, N.Y.; and one grandson, John Marshall Horton, a student at UCLA Medical School in Los Angeles, Calif.
Pallbearers will be John Horton, Michael Morrow, Johnny Berry, Charles Berry, Jimmy Berry and Jamie Berry.
The family asks that any memorials in Jean’s name be made to Alzheimer’s TN.
