Civitan Club presents scholarships

Carley Nix of Phil Campbell and Preston Goad of Russellville are awarded with scholarships of $1,000 each from the Russellville Civitan Club. Nix is a 2018 graduate of Phil Campbell High School and the daughter of Tonya Bostick and Rodney Nix. She graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and plans to study nursing at Troy University. Goad graduated from Russellville High School and is the son of Marla and Philip Goad of Russellville. He graduated with a 4.542 grade points average and will study computer science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. They are pictured with Drew Edwards of Phil Campbell, president of the Russellville Civitan Club.
