Festival names watermelon winners

The following people were recognized for their entries in the Franklin County Watermelon Festival contests:
- Donald Patterson won Most Unusual Watermelon.
- Lapena Bonilla won third place in the Seed Spitting Contest.
- Micah McCauley won second place in the Seed Spitting Contest.
- Kevin Strickland won first place in the Seed Spitting Contest.
- Mazlyn Dalrymple won third place in the Best Dressed Watermelon Contest.
- Damaris Bonilla won second place in the Best Dressed Watermelon Contest.
- Wayne Phillips won third place in the Best Tasting Watermelon Contest.
- Kim Dalrymple won second place in the Best Tasting Watermelon Contest.
- Greg Dalrymple won first place in the Best Tasting Watermelon Contest.
- Laura Renstrom won third place in the Largest Watermelon Contest.
- Spencer Glasgow won second place in the Largest Watermelon Contest.
- Charles Bently won first place in the Largest Watermelon Contest with a 229-pound watermelon.
- Chasity Jackson won second place in the Largest Watermelon in Franklin County Contest.
- Rhett and Reed Jackson won first place in the Largest Watermelon in Franklin County Contest with a 168-pound watermelon.
