James Paul Treadway

James Paul Treadway, 87, of Russellville passed away Sept. 8 at his residence with his daughter at his side.

Visitation will be Sept. 9 from 1-2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Casey Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

James was born May 5, 1931, in Franklin County to Howard and Omie Treadway.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie Treadway; and his siblings.

Mr. Treadway was a member of Concord Baptist Church, a member of Sheet Metal Workers International Association and a 50-year member of the Lodge of the Masonic Jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of F & AM of Alabama. He also served in the Navy for four years and was a retired vocational welding instructor for Muscle Shoals Schools.

James is survived by his daughter, Sandra Bianco (Jim); his grandchildren, Tara Hill (Eric), Tyler Bianco (Laura) and Tiffany Cleveland (Tim); and his great-grandchildren, Sophie, Stella, Tripp, Tinley and Ava.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Bianco, Eric Hill, Tim Cleveland, Jim Bianco, Tripp Cleveland, Scott Hunter and Brandon Hunter.

Honorary pallbearer will be Donald Harbin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jo Ann Ragsdale, Kindred Home Health, Kindred Hospice and Dr. Chenyi.

Akins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
