Toy Drive time is here

Holiday season is in full swing, and even though Thanksgiving is coming up, it’s time to start the
necessary early Christmas preparations.

One way to do that in Franklin County is to support the Franklin County Helping Santa Toy
Drive.

Every year the Russellville Fire Department and Russellville Police Department work together
with other local businesses to run a toy drive for families in Franklin County that need Christmas
gift assistance. Last year the drive served around 265 children.

“We had more than enough, and it’s all thanks to the people who made monetary and toy
donations,” fire Capt. Randy Seal said.

This year the paperwork families will need to fill out to receive assistance will be ready Nov. 1
and can be picked up at RPD in downtown Russellville from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The deadline to
turn the paperwork back in is Nov. 23. Families can pick up the toys Dec. 20-22.

More information about toy drop-off locations will be released soon. Monetary donations are
also accepted.
