Letter to the Editor: ‘I will always hold dear, remember bonds we built’

Dear Bobcat Faithful,

“Give every day, and everything, your everything.” That’s a motto I have tried to live by while coaching because when the end time of doing whatever it is you’re doing comes, it’s easier to handle!

I want to thank Superintendent Greg Hamilton, PCHS Principal Darit Riddle, Assistant Principal Kelby Daniel, head basketball Coach Shane Clay and head football Coach Kevin Barnwell for the blessed opportunity I had to be a Bobcat.

To the assistant coaches I worked with, you guys made me feel welcomed every day!

To the fans, your love for all things Phil Campbell was absolutely amazing! Even in a crazy pandemic time, you guys showed up loud and proud.

To Joey Wingo and to Tracy Bragwell, “The Voice Of The Bobcats,” my friend, THANK YOU!

Most of all, to the players, both basketball and football: Although it was a short time, the memories made will last forever. I might forget our game-winning drive versus Colbert Heights or our two last-second victories in B-Team basketball over Haleyville, but one thing I will always hold dear and remember is the bonds we built.

To all of Phil Campbell, as I venture on to my next endeavor at Park Crossing, I’ll forever have a special place in heart for y’all. To you I say, thank you, and go Bobcats!

Sincerely,

Coach Cantrell Tyson
