Mildred West Hutcheson

Mildred West Hutcheson, 95, died peacefully at home May 12 and was buried in the West Family Cemetery at Old Nauvoo, near Belgreen.

Mrs. Hutcheson graduated from Belgreen High School and Molar Beauty College in Memphis, Tennessee. She loved cooking for her family, gardening, making quilts, reading and going to church. She was a member of Red Bay First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hutcheson was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander Campbell West and Artie Dell Massey West; her husband of more than 50 years, Relton Willie Hutcheson; grandchildren, Martin Wade Hutcheson and Sara LeAnne Hutcheson; great-grandsons, Christopher Adam Holcomb and Gary Wayne Holcomb Jr; and son-in-law, John Charles Bertschinger.

Mrs. Hutcheson is survived by daughters, Doris LaVelle Hutcheson and Myra Nell Hutcheson Bertschinger; sons Donald Willis Hutcheson (Beverly), James Relton Hutcheson (Nita), Ira Neil Hutcheson (Sally) and Nicholas Allen Hutcheson (Regina); 10 grandchildren, Wesley, Kevin, Levi and Bradi Hutcheson, Jeremy, Jeffrey and Joseph Bertschinger, Pamela Starling, Kimberly Morgan and Bonnie Barfoot; nine great-grandchildren, Jessica Hendrix, Amanda Burt, Joshua Holcomb, Cohen Starling, Blakesley Hutcheson and Chole, Avery, Cailyn and Camilla Bertschinger; and two great-great-grandchildren, Malee and Roman Hendrix.
