PHOTOS: Tharptown senior homecoming representatives take court

Tharptown High School senior homecoming court members get ready for Homecoming activities Sept. 29.

Harleigh Borden is the daughter of Brandon and Leslie Borden. Her grandparents are Kathy and Ricky Borden; Lonnie and Amy Henley; and Jamie and Darlene Rutherford. She plays varsity softball, volleyball, basketball and track. Extracurriculars include Franklin County Junior Leadership, Spanish, FCS, mosaic mentoring, THS ambassador and National Honor Society. Future plans include going to college to receive a nursing degree with a specialization in labor and delivery, with the eventual goal of becoming a travel nurse.

Madie Harris is the daughter of Brooke and Jason Harris. Grandparents include Rhonda Wagnon, the late Ricky Tharp, Roland Harris, Judy Dozier, Billy and Mary Thorn and Charlotte Clark. Extracurriculars include Franklin County Junior Leadership, National Honor Society, cheer, Spanish, dual enrollment, talent search, FCS, Mosaic Mentoring and THS Voices. Future plans include getting her nursing degree and becoming a travel nurse.

Kaden Woodard is the daughter of Mindy Woodard. Her grandparents are Daphne Cagle and Keith Cagle. Her clubs include National Honor Society, diamond dolls, talent search, cheer and volleyball. Future plans include going to college to become a speech pathologist.

Abigail Strickland is the daughter of Mandy Hall. Her grandparents are Brent and Gail Hall. Extracurricular activities include Franklin County Junior Leadership, cheer, Phi Theta Kappa, National Honor Society, dual enrollment, talent search, mosaic mentoring and the Fellowship of Christian Students. Future plans include going to college to become a pediatrician.

Braisley Barboza is the daughter of Rafael Barboza and Elisabeth Ramos. Her grandparents are Alejandro Ramos and Rosario Lomas. Extracurricular activities include National Honor Society, Spanish Club, Mosaic Mentoring, THS Ambassador and Skills USA Ambassador.

Alexa Hawkins is the daughter of Chris and Tina Hawkins. Grandparents include Wayne and Diane Welborn and Norman and Tonya Hawkins. Clubs include Diamond Dolls and sports include cross country. Future plans are to attend college to become a physical therapist and work with sports medicine.

Alyssa Abbott is the daughter of Tonia and Brandon Abbott. Grandparents include Teres and the late Lloyd Abbott, Dwayne Little and Betty and Randall Gravatt. Extracurriculars include varsity basketball, Fellowship of Christian Students, National Honor Society, Mosaic Mentoring, THS ambassador, talent search and dual enrollment. Future plans are to attend a community college and go into the diagnostic medical sonography program to become an ultrasound technician.

Addison Compton is the daughter of Chasity and Brian Compton. Grandaparents include Lesa and Danny Kerby and Alan and the late Donna Compton. Extracurricular activities include cross country, track, basketball, president of the Fellowship of Christian Students, THS Ambassadors, National Honor Society, Mosaic Mentoring, Spanish, dual enrollment, Future Teachers of America, Talent Search and Leaders of School. Future plans include going to Northwest Shoals Community College to run cross country, transfering to Athens to get a degree in early education and using that to become a kindergarten teacher. After a year or so, she plans to get a license to be a real estate agent to work in her free time.
