Mr. and Mrs. Ted George of DeKalb announce the engagement of their daughter, Wendy Lynn, to Hugh Edward Chisolm, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Chisolm of Damascus, Miss.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Corinth Baptist Church, Highway 495, south of Damascus.
Miss George is the granddaughter of Mr. Ellis Cherry of Porterville and Mrs. Charlene Cherry of DeKalb and Mrs. Evelyn George of DeKalb and the late Lloyd L. George.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Kemper Academy High School and received a degree in office technology from Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of Phi Beta Lambda.
Miss George is employed by Citizens National Bank in Meridian.
Mr. Chisolm is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Chisolm of Damascus and Mr. and Mrs. Edward Mosby of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Kemper Academy High School.
Mr. Chisolm is owner of Kemper Tire in DeKalb.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
