JACKSON The work of Norma Sanders Bourdeaux is on view as part of the 2003 Mississippi Invitational at the Mississippi Museum of Art.
Bourdeaux, born in Birmingham, splits her time between Meridian and Oxford. Artwork in the exhibition by Bourdeaux includes five landscape paintings in oil.
The Mississippi Invitational is the museum's fourth biennial exhibition to survey recent developments by artists living and working across the state.
The exhibition includes work in diverse materials and is on view through Aug. 31.
The 16 artists whose works are included in this year's exhibition were selected by New York-based independent curator and critic Lilly Wei.
The exhibition includes drawings, paintings, sculptures, collages, installation works and photographs.
The Mississippi Museum of Art is at 201 East Pascagoula St. in downtown Jackson and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for students age 6 through college and free for children 4 and under.
