Graveside services for Reuben Gene Posey will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Old Marion Cemetery with the Rev. Davey Wilkinson officiating. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Posey, 78, of Meridian, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in Marion. He was retired from Air Comfort Engineering. He was a member of Local Union No. 714 pipe fitter/plumbers for more than 50 years and Russell Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Nina Mae Pierce Posey of Meridian; children, David Posey and his wife, Linda, of Enterprise, Ronnie Posey and his wife, Lynn, of Toomsuba, Rickey Posey of Meridian, Delmer Posey and his wife, Leslie, of Bailey, Sheila Yeates and her husband, Don, of Weatherford, Texas, and Cindy Brantley and her husband, Rory, of Meridian; grandchildren, Scott Benefield, Jamie Posey, Holly Sharp, Jim Hartman, Jennifer Scholl, Stephanie Leach, Michael Posey, Austin Posey, Cameron Posey, Chad Yeates, Miranda Yeates, Shaune Brantley, Travis Brantley and Jill Brantley Blackwell; 10 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Tommy Horne and Fred Haguewood.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ida and Dewitt Butler; a sister, Doris Boyette; a brother, R.J. Posey; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Posey.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

QUITMAN Services for Sallie George Tew will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Leo Smith, Dennis Coats and Samuel Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Andrew's Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County.
Mrs. Tew, 86, of Quitman, died Monday, July 14, 2003, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman. She was a member of Shady Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors include her daughters, Gilda Page and Von Dee Williams, both of Quitman, and Myra Tew of Meridian; sisters, Mary W. Poole of Evansville, Ind., and Frances Dean of Greenville; grandchildren, Steve Whaley and Mike Williams, both of Quitman, Phillip Williams of Meridian and Andy Lafferty of Shubuta; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Tew; daughters, Patricia Glass and Judy Lafferty; and grandchildren, Shelia Glass and Byron Glass.
Memorials may be made to H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steve Whaley, Mike Williams, Phillip Williams and Andy Lafferty, and her great-grandsons, Brian Whaley and Patrick Whaley.
Visitation will begin today after 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Eleanor Johnson will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church in Whynot. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Yantley, Ala. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Johnson, 82, of Meridian, died Saturday, July 12, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter, Lonnie J. Brewster of Detroit; sons, Bobby Brewster, James Johnson and Billy Johnson, all of Meridian; a brother, Cliff Gordon of Meridian; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a special friend and caretaker, Ethel Steele; a friend, Frances Lewis of Meridian; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son.
Visitation will be Thursday 11 a.m.-noon at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for Willie Randle, of Meridian, who died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in his home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Berry and Gardner Funeral Home for infant Maleiyah Prince, of Meridian, who died Monday, July 14, 2003, at the University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham.
