Mr. and Mrs. Joe Innis McLeod of Quitman announce the engagement of their daughter, Christiana Lynne, to Parker Ford Leggett, son of Dr. and Mrs. Kent Bonwell Leggett of Laurel.
The wedding will be held Saturday, June 14, 2003, at 7 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Laurel.
Miss McLeod is the granddaughter of Minnie Etta Smith of Enterprise and the late Henry Clay Boman of Quitman and Mrs. Innis Red McLeod of Quitman and the late Mr. McLeod.
The bride-elect is a1999 honor graduate of Heidelberg Academy and a 2001 graduate of Jones County Junior College. She will graduate in May 2003 from the University of Mississippi. She will enter the E.H. Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi in the fall.
While at JCJC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Phi Beta Lambda and Alpha Beta Gamma honor societies and was a member of the Hall of Fame. She will graduate from Ole Miss magna cum laude. While there, she has been a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Gamma Beta Phi, Beta Alpha Psi and Golden Key honor societies.
Mr. Leggett is the grandson of Mrs. Glen LaRue Stanislaus of Laurel and the late Mr. Stanislaus and Dr. Thomas Ford Leggett Jr. of Laurel and the late Shirley Webster Leggett.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1999 honor graduate of R.H. Watkins High School in Laurel and will receive a business administration degree in 2003 from the University of Mississippi. He will enter the University of Mississippi School of Law in the fall.
While at Ole Miss, Mr. Leggett has been a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Golden Key International Honor Society and Sigma Chi Fraternity.
A reception will be held at the Laurel Country Club following the wedding ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
