WAYNESBORO Services for Ben E. May will be held today at noon at Spiritual True Holiness Church in Shubuta with Bishop Kenneth Dunning officiating. Burial will be in Cokes Chapel Cemetery in Shubuta. Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. May, 59, of Hinesville, Ga., died Wednesday, July 23, 2003, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah, Ga. He was a retired first class sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his daughters, Dung May of Atlanta and Kim T. May of Honolulu; a son, Doan V. May of Hinesville, Ga.; sisters, Cora House of Shubuta and Dorothy Paul of Brewton, Ala.; brothers, A.J. Evans of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Jessie May of Washington, D.C.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m.-noon at the church.

Services for Alex Savell will be held today at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church Collinsville with the Revs. Jerry Alexander, Andy Murray and Alan Sims officiating. Burial will be in Center Ridge Cemetery in Duffee. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Savell, 27, of Chunky, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at University Medical Center in Jackson. He was a member of First Baptist Church Collinsville where he participated in various musical activities. He was a 1994 graduate of Newton County High School and received an associate degree in nursing in 2000 from East Central Community College and an associate degree in music. He was employed at Whitfield Hospital in Jackson, where he was nighttime supervisor and worked part time at Laird-Alliance in Union as night relief supervisor. He was a former member of Meridian Demolay Chapter, Master Mason at Little Rock Lodge, Master of Little Rock Lodge, where he served one and one half terms. He was a member of the York Rite bodies,and was the former pianist for Disciple Quartet.
Survivors include his father, James D. Savell of Chunky; mother, Mary Lee Tolbert of Little Rock; a sister, Casey Michelle Savell; a brother, Jamie Savell; his grandparents, James and Audie Savell of Chunky and Georgia Lene Mabry of Collinsville; and several cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, M.O. "Buddy" Mabry.
Memorials may be made to Little Rock Lodge No. 573.
Pallbearers will be members of Masonic Lodge. Honorary pallbearers will be David Scarbrough, Joey Thrash, Alan Knight, Marty Alexander, Kevin Smith, Michael "Tiny" Clearman, James Allen and Rick Burkett.

Mr. Stallings, 77, of Vossburg, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at H.C. Watkins Memorial Hospital in Quitman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Gwendolyn B. Stallings of Vossburg; a daughter, Dorothy Ayyash of Bruce; brothers, Raymond Stallings of Pachuta and Vernon Stallings of Brentwood, Calif.; a sister, Lois Cook of Vossburg; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cox, 102, of Philadelphia, died Thursday, July 24, 2003, at Neshoba County Nursing Home in Philadelphia.
Survivors include her son, Wallace B. Cox of Philadelphia; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
