Ralph and Evelyn Staton of Union announce the engagement of their daughter, Susan Amanda, to Stacey Brian Johnson, son of Ruthie Barker and Lamar Johnson.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Union.
Miss Staton is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Staton of Union, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thad Mixon of Magnolia.
The bride-elect is a 1997 graduate of Union High School and a 1999 graduate of East Central Community College. She will receive her master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Southern Mississippi in August.
Mr. Johnson is the grandson of Mrs. Dewey Belk of Philadelphia and the late Mr. Belk, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Grady Johnson of Union.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1995 graduate of Union High School and is currently employed as an engineering technician with the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
