Sept. 27-28 For the 10th year, the Pass Christian Collage Art Festival "Art in the Park," will be held from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. in War Memorial Park. The festival will feature original art, all-day music by Gulf Coast native Bobby Allison, a food court, art demonstrations, pencil portrait sketches, face-painting for children and a silent auction of original art.

Sept. 27-28 The Mississippi Pecan Festival is taking applications for its 2003 Gospel Talent Show. Sept. 29 The James Lynn Cartlidge Forrest County Multi-Purpose Center welcomes the "Ready to Fly Tour" to its main arena. The concert will feature FFH with special guest Big Daddy Weave and contemporary Christian singer Warren Barfield. Showtime is 7 p.m. Advanced general admission tickets are $15. Oct. 4 The 14th Annual Forestry and Wildlife Festival at Archusa Water Park in Clarke County.
The festival is sponsored by the Clarke County Chamber of Commerce in an effort to promote forestry for economic development and to spotlight the county's abundant wildlife and natural scenic beauty.

Oct. 4 Downtown Vicksburg's Fall Festival begins at 8:30 a.m. when the 21st Annual Old Courthouse Flea Market opens around the Old Courthouse Museum. Throughout the day, festival-goers can enjoy food and live entertainment.

Oct. 11 BankPlus and the Meridian Council for the Arts are sponsoring the Three Foot Art Festival. The event will be from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Singing Brakeman Park, next to Union Station on Front Street in downtown Meridian.
Exhibitors from Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia will display work in various media, including clay, metal, photography, mixed media and sculpture.
At 3 p.m., festival-goers will enjoy sounds of The Caldwells, a blues/gospel group from West Point, followed by Capital City Stage Band and the Bluz Boys.

Nov. 1-2 Applications are being accepted for the 19th Annual Homemakers Arts and Crafts Show and Sale in Meridian.
