STEVEN DAVID BROWN, MELINDA LEE NARRO
Melinda Lee Narro of Meridian and Steven David Brown of
Weymouth, England, were married Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at
Merrehope, with the Rev. Chuck Culpepper officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Ray Narro of Meridian
and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Brown of Weymouth.
Grandparents of the bride are Katherine Graham Perry and the late
Lee Cooper Perry Sr.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Emilia Massengale Choate,
harpist.
The bride wore an original two-piece gown enhanced with a lace
bodice and satin skirt. Her headpiece of sweetheart roses were from
her grandmother's garden. She carried a nosegay of white roses.
Patricia Perry Narro of Dahlonega, Ga., attended her sister as maid
of honor.
Robert Eric Brown of Poole, England, served his brother as best
man. Ushers were William Jacob Narro of Madison and Jeffrey
Pendleton Hoffer of Jackson.
Honored attendants were Simon James of Poole, Jaynie Voelz of St.
Petersburg, Fla., Don Middleton of Tampa, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Chris
Roberts of Meridian, Jamie Ridgway of Brandenburg, Ky., Mr. and
Mrs. Brian Ford of Weymouth, Dr. Christine Brown of Poole and
Christopher and Marie Ford of Weymouth.
Program attendants and hostesses were Katherine Graham Pigford,
Dixie Gilbert Pigford, Katie Elizabeth Pigford, Sarah Elizabeth Perry,
Alexandria Michele Hoffer, all cousins of the bride.
A reception was held at Merrehope following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. John Hogshead, Mr.
and Mrs. Bob Pigford, Linda Perry, Lee Cooper Perry Jr., Mrs. Jake
Narro and Shayne Reetz Narro.
After a honeymoon in New Orleans, the couple resides in Meridian.
NEAL HOLLIMAN, TRACY BLACKBURN
Tracy Blackburn of Decatur and Neal Holliman of Aliceville, Ala.,
were married Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Ricky Harrison, with the Rev. Mike Griffin officiating.
Parents of the couple are Larry and Jo Blackburn of Decatur and
Charles and Pam Holliman of Aliceville.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Sonya Smith and Kim
Smith.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a white
dress of matte satin featuring an empire waistline with an A-line skirt
and detachable chapel-length train also of matte satin. The
sleeveless bodice featured double stitched satin lace encrusted with
pearls and sequins. The boat neckline fell into sheer panel straps,
also encrusted with double-stitched satin lace, pearls and sequins
creating a triangular opening.
Christy Collins of Decatur was maid of honor.
Other attendants were Kim Smith and Buffy Hale, both of Decatur,
Marianne Rushing of Stonewall and Angela Boutwell of Newton. They
wore princess seam sleeveless gowns with trumpet skirts and open
backs featuring a bow detail made of purple crepe satin.
Ashton Smith of Decatur was flower girl.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen and
ushers were Mark Holliman of Aliceville, Jody Hayes of Gordo, Ala.,
Barrett Noland and Wade Goodman, both of Carrollton, Ala.
Will Gibson of Newton was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Harrison
following the ceremony. Assisting were Suzanne Milling, Barbara
McDowell, Dale Huey, Valorie Westbrook, Brenda Chaney, Jennifer
Pierce, Rebecca Stevens, Tammy McDowell, Pam Hayes and Joy
Hann.
After a honeymoon in Dahlonega, Ga., the couple resides in
Livingston, Ala.
