Aderholt's efforts will benefit county's students

By Staff
Representative Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) has managed to secure a quarter of a million dollars to help update Northwest Shoals Community College in Phil Campbell.
The money will be used to update the campus facilities so that they can provide better service to the students and to produce graduates with skills in information technology.
The funding has already passed the House, and will go before the Senate very soon.
This funding can really make a difference in educating Franklin County's students. A large percentage of our students begin their college careers at NWSCC, and the upgrades are needed to give our kids a good start on their degree.
It's great to know that there is someone on Capitol Hill who understands the importance of a good education. We thank Congressman Aderholt for helping our students by working on more funding for the Phil Campbell campus. We only hope that this is the beginning of the improvements at the campus, and the only way to ensure that improvements is through funding.
