Get in the spirit of giving this season

By Staff
Christmastime is a season of caring, giving and sharing. While it is easy to get swept away by holiday plans, it's important for all us to realize how blessed we are and to look for ways to help those who are less fortunate than us.
Franklin County is filled with ways to make this year brighter for families in need.
The New Freedom Outreach, the Faith Mission Outreach and other local organizations are looking for community members to help them give back to the community during this time of giving.
Both Missions have toy drives ongoing and are asking for toys which they plan to give out at their dinners and banquets.
If you can't give with material items to help meet the needs of the community, then give back by donating your time at any organization to help them with their Christmas projects.
It doesn't matter how you help, just as long as you do.
Don't let your giving end with the holiday season. There are people in need 365 days per year.
We encourage everyone to donate their time and efforts this year to help make our community a better place to live for everyone.
