FCT: What do you enjoy most about your job?
DO: We have a good time, and we're friends. There's a good atmosphere here, and these are good folks to work for. Valentine's Day is always fun and busy. I like getting out and meeting people and seeing their reactions – I've never had any problems with that.
ML: I enjoy working with flowers and family. (LeMay's daughter, Lila Fuller, is the owner and manager.) Fresh, cut flowers are popular, but my favorites to work with are the silk flowers.
FCT: What are your best-selling items? Have you ever received any unusual requests?
DO: A lot of people buy one long-stemmed rose for Valentine's Day, birthdays or anniversaries.
ML: We've had calls for bonsai trees for office-openings and birthdays, but they're hard to find.
FCT: Where do you like to shop in this area?
ML: Cracker Barrel because you can do shopping there. I do shop here at Peebles, because my granddaughter is an assistant manager there.
FCT: What do you enjoy most about Franklin County?
DO: It's cheery, and it still has that hometown feel because you know most of the people here. This is a small town, and there are good folks here.
FCT: What kind of events do you like to attend?
DO: We enjoy going to school events that our grandchildren are involved in.
ML: We support the (Russellville High School) band. They had an "Amazing Grace" theme about 10 years ago, and it was a touching performance. The band always has a Christmas concert and a spring concert.
FCT: What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
DO: I like being outdoors – I like being outside and taking walks. And I read and write a lot, and my favorite author is Jan Karon.
ML: I enjoy traveling, camping and visiting family. The farthest trip I've taken this year was to northeast Missouri for a wedding.
