SILAS, Ala. The War-Bama Club, located on U.S. Highway 84 near the Choctaw County-Clarke County line just east of here, was destroyed by fire Wednesday night.
Choctaw County Sheriff Donald Lolley said the call came in about 9 p.m. Four volunteer fire departments responded to the blaze.
The nightclub was about 10 years old and located near the Tombigbee River, he said.
It was frequented by a lot of people throughout Mississippi and people from Choctaw, Clarke and Washington counties in Alabama.
Lolley said Coffeeville, Silas, Gilbertown and Lusk volunteer firefighters responded. The nightclub was closed when the fire began and no injuries were reported.
