In a 23-7 victory over Newton Thursday night, the Clarkdale Lady Bulldogs won the district 5-2A title for the ninth year in a row.
The Lady Bulldogs stand at 16-10 overall and 5-0 with one district game left Tuesday night at home against Enterprise.

The Tigers got two more in the second inning pulling to a 5-2 lead.
A third inning explosion left the Lady Bulldogs with six more runs.
Newton got one more run in the fourth and fifth, but that would be the last time they crossed home plate for the night.
Clarkdale laid down the win with eight runs in the fifth inning and seven more in the sixth just for insurance.
Multiple hitters for the Lady Bulldogs included JorD'an Orr (2-4, double), Kaylea Thrash (2-5), triple), Megan Potate (2-3), Ashley Satcher (3-5, home run, triple), winning pitcher Emily Howard (3-5), and Sabrina Woodall (2-4, home run).
