Doby, Jackson

Samuel Karl and Carol Faye Doby of Stonewall announce the engagement of their daughter, Shenika La'Shelle, to Derrick Lamond Jackson, son of Elbert and Vivian Matthews of Jackson.
The ceremony will be held, Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at 2:30 p.m. at the New Fellowship Baptist Church in Enterprise.
Grandparents of the bride-elect are Bennie King Jr. of Stonewall and the late Henrietta Blanks King; Joe Lee Doby of Stonewall and the late Odessa Williams Doby.
Miss Doby is an honor graduate of Quitman High School. She received a bachelor's degree in biology from Jackson State University. She is currently employed with the Jackson Public Schools.
Mr. Jackson is the grandson of Lessie B. Jackson of Jackson and the late Versell Jackson; Samuel Finch and the late Elnora Pugh.
He is a graduate of Calloway High School and attended Jackson State University. He is currently employed by Labor Management.
A reception will be held at Holiday Inn Express in Meridian following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
