50th anniversary
Jessie and Bobby Everett celebrated their 50th anniversary during a dinner held at their son's home on Oct. 21. The event was hosted by their children, Dr. Keith Everett and his wife, Darlene, Lisa Lucovich and her husband, Andy, and their grandchildren, Stewart and John Everett, and Jessica and Allison Lucovich. Several close friends of the couple enjoyed the dinner catered by Mac Burt, former chef of Phillip M. Restaurant. The couple were married Oct. 21, 1951, at North Bend Methodist Church in Neshoba County.
50th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Hardy Jr. will be honored with a reception to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The event will be held Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Meridian. The couple were married Dec. 1, 1951. They have four children, Charlene Pieper and her husband, Fred, of Lexington, S.C., Cindy Luther and her husband, Jerald, Tammy Rush and her husband, Dr. Leslie Rush III, and Terry Hardy and his wife, Beth, all of Meridian; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hardy is the former Juanice Kirkland. Family and friends are invited to attend.
52nd anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Floyd T. Killebrew Sr. of Meridian celebrated their 52nd anniversary on Nov. 5, 2001, with a family dinner. The couple were married in Greenville in 1949. They have two children, Floyd T. Killebrew Jr. and Judy Parker, both of Meridian; four grandchildren and two great-grandsons. Mrs. Killebrew is the former Ruthie Lee Dearman.
55th anniversary
Mr. and Mrs. Billy A. Watkins of Meridian will celebrate their 55th anniversary on Nov. 29, 2001, with their family. The couple were married in 1946 in Lauderdale County. They have one daughter, Gloria Null, two grandchildren, Kyle and Apryl, and a very special son-in-law, Dennis Null. Mr. Watkins is retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance and Mrs. Watkins is a homemaker. They attend Highland Baptist Church. Mrs. Watkins is the former DeLoris Baucum.
