Lauderdale County indictments:
The following indictments, issued by a Lauderdale County grand jury in November, were released into the public record Monday by Lauderdale County Circuit Court officials.
District Attorney Bilbo Mitchell said the grand jury issued 115 drug-related offenses. By comparison, a July 2001 grand jury issued 93 drug-related indictments. A March 2001 grand jury indicted 64 people for drug-related offenses.
This indictment list is incomplete.
It does not reflect indictments not yet served on defendants; the missing portion of the list includes all felony bad check indictments issued in November. Bad check indictments are routinely served last. The missing indictments will appear as they become available in the Public Records listing of The Meridian Star.
